Alpha Chi Omega
Alpha Chi Omega is an organization about you: unique, talented, genuine women looking for a fun and meaningful way to enhance your college experience. It's also about strength in numbers through the 230,000 real, strong women who stand by your side, cheer you on and lead you to a lifetime of fun, fulfillment, leadership and inspiration
Alpha Chi Omega provides the programs, initiatives, and opportunities that help each of our members grow to be the best version of herself. As an organization serving women, including those who live and identify as women, we see the potential in each of our members—the real, strong version of the woman she is meant to be. The programs we’ve created, in our 143 chapter across the nation, provide a supportive community, full of leadership opportunities, scholarship goals, and empowerment to engage in the ideas and issues that affect all women.
Each builds on the previous, providing Alpha Chis with a continual education—one that understands that what you learn outside of the classroom can be as important to your growth as what you learn inside the classroom. The real, strong woman is what we aim to help Alpha Chi Omegas become in their four years of college and beyond. It’s what we’re most proud of, and the outcome we’re committed to creating for each member.
Alpha Chi Omega is also dedicated to raising awareness and educating others about domestic violence. This issue is one we stand behind as something that affects women all over the world. Together, we work to fight against unhealthy relationships and build healthy relationships. Members serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence through fundraising and gifts of time and talents for shelters and other service-providing organizations. Alpha Chi Omega also works to educate its own members, giving them tools to build their own healthy relationships, and to raise awareness of domestic violence by educating others on the impacts of and work being done to end it.
We are looking to build a strong sorority here at Stanford and to help us do that, we’re looking for a group of Real. Strong. Women. Women who want to make a difference on campus, make fun memories and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. Our founding members will get the opportunity to be leaders right away, build an amazing sisterhood and create traditions that will be a part of Stanford history.
